Field Service Engineer
The primary responsibilities of the RASIRC Field Service Engineer (FSE) are to:
- Provide onsite customer support for products in the field including performing installation, start up and repairs on RASIRC systems worldwide. The FSE will provide system diagnosis and solution recommendation, in support of Global sales. The FSE will ensure that the activities provided promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with both external and internal customers.
- Provide coordination of field support activities for existing products such as RASIRC Steamer, RASIRC SPA and RainMaker Humidification Systems and other new products.
- Respond to technical questions coming from both external customers and the RASIRC Sales organization.
- Support the RASIRC Global Sales Organization and its Distributors.
REQUIREMENTS (plus other duties as assigned):
- Become an expert on RASIRC STEAMER products and systems, developing knowledge of relevant customer products and their applications. Become knowledgeable of the customer organization and processing equipment.
- Maintain a high level of technical and application competence and utilize this knowledge in a manner which will enable him/her to personally add value to our products and services, promoting and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Work with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Applications Development, and R&D to support new product introductions, and ongoing product improvements.
- Develop and maintain interactive database of customer reported problems and solutions.
- Act as key resource of information concerning product/support needs of current and new products and product introductions.
- Provide support to the Sales Organization by identifying key parameters for proper operation of RASIRC products at customer facilities.
- Provide on-site second level assistance for customer complaints for RASIRC products.
- Travel approx. 25% - 75% of time international and domestic.
- Must be a US citizen and hold a current passport.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and experienced required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Relevant undergraduate Degree in Engineering / Science and 2 years of Semiconductor capital equipment experience or 2 year technical degree with 5 years or more experience with high tech equipment installation and repair.
- Proven communication, planning and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of STEAMER purification systems, RainMaker Humidification Systems, and other RASIRC products.
- Proven PC skills including Microsoft Office, PLC programming and database management applications.
- Knowledge of RASIRC markets, applications and products for the semiconductor, NANO, MEMS and solar industries desirable.
Language Skills
The FSE must be able to communicate complex technical issues to customers (both internal and external), engineers, and other concerned parties in an effective and concise manner. Foreign fluency in an Asian or European language is desirable.
Mathematical Skills
Must be able to interpret data and perform mathematical and statistical analysis as it applies to the functions of the position.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen for long periods of time while standing. The employee will perform multiple mechanical and electrical assembly and repair functions daily. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Exposure to manufacturing environment including clean rooms is required.
